Peterborough is no exception. There are plenty of restaurants offering takeaway right now and here are just a few to tide you over until everything opens again.

Missing all those juicy gourmet burgers, plates of prime ribs and succulent steaks? The XOXO Grill House is providing take away via JustEat. All the burgers are made from 100% Aberdeen Angus Beef and the signature chicken wings and lamb chops are two great fan favourites. Top off your meal with a popular Oreo Crush milkshake or try a more unusual flavour like Lotus Biscoff or Kinder Bueno. Yum! You can have your food delivered or go and collect from a social distance if you prefer.

Pub lunches and pints feel like a thing of the past but fortunately Dog in A Doublet is here to provide. Monday to Wednesday they are running a takeaway collection service from their 24 hour curbside food station McDoggals where they serve focaccia, sandwiches, sausage rolls, desserts and some hot and cold drinks. Perfect to take along on a social distance picnic! Thursday through Sunday, the pub itself is doing deliveries; Thursday is pizza night, Friday is, of course, fish night, Saturday they do fantastic BBQ food and Sunday a classic, hearty roast dinner. What more could you want? Well, keep an eye on their social media as apparently they have a few more ideas up their sleeve!

The Pizza Parlour
The Pizza Parlour did close for lockdown but is, thank goodness, back open again. This authentic Italian-owned restaurant prepares all their pizzas in a wood-fired oven. In fact they're the only restaurant in town who does! What could be better than a freshly made, crisp margherita or a hot and peppery piccante to liven up your evening. The menu also has tons of other tasty choices for you to choose from. They deliver to most areas around Peterborough but recommend booking through Just Eat if you fall outside their range!
