The Clifton Sausage

Fancy some comfort food, treat yourself to some scrumptious sausage and mash from this classy restaurant. The Clifton Sausage has recently started offering takeaway on Saturdays and has a superb selection of regionally supplied sausages to choose from such as lamb, mint and apricot, or pork, cider and wholegrain mustard. They even have a veggie option: cheddar, caerphilly and leek. If sausage and mash isn’t really your thing, why not try the pork belly or even one of their Somerset beef burgers or free-range chicken burgers. They change their options weekly though so keep an eye out and see what takes your fancy. Also available weekly for preorder are their meat packs filled with sausages, steaks, burgers, lamb chops and chicken kebabs - perfect for a BBQ with all this sunny weather.

For Mice and Men

Who doesn’t love a classic cheese toastie and who doesn’t love having their lunch delivered straight to their door? Especially when the cheese toasties are as good as these! For Mice and Men have so many delicious alternatives to the regular cheese toastie like the Buffalo Blue, filled with stilton, buffalo-style chicken, jalapeños, red onion and spicy mayo and the Frenchy, stuffed with camembert, green olives and red onion. Yum! You can spice up your regular cheese toastie by selecting a specific cheese and you can add bacon, chicken, or both to any toastie. Currently, there’s also a brilliant half price discount for all those amazing NHS workers. For Mice and Men are open for orders Wednesday to Friday; the delivery order deadline is 12pm and the last collection slot is 1pm.

The Coconut Tree

Want to try something a bit more unusual to liven up your evening meal? The Coconut Tree has two branches in Bristol, both of which are bringing Sri Lankan street food, not just to the U.K. but to your own dinner table. All their food is prepared fresh everyday to make sure its extra tasty! The tapas take away menu boasts an amazing variety of flavoursome plates including Pineapple curry, Fat Sister (pumpkin cooked in coconut cream), Devilled chicken wings and Black Pork. They also have some larger dishes on offer such as Kotthu which is roti, a type of flatbread, which has been wok-fried with vegetables and your choice of protein - the favourite is chicken and cheese! Bocabar Paintworks

Bocabar Paintworks is an award-winning, red-brick warehouse style restaurant famous for their pizza. Since the 15th of May, Bocabar’s authentic Italian pizzas have been made available for takeaway collection during lockdown. Every pizza is made fresh, using Italian flour, rolled to 13 inches, covered with fresh homemade plum tomato sauce and fior di mozzarella and then stone baked in the oven. The extensive takeaway menu, available on their website, has loads of different choices, for instance the ham, goats cheese and egg Presuntava pizza, the anchovy Napoli pizza and the Amazonia pizza topped with artichokes, peppers, spinach and olives. There’s also some children’s options for those with smaller tummies! To top it all off, there’s a 10% discount at the moment! Perfect.

Owee Diner

This fun, retro diner has several branches in Bristol, but it’s North Street location is providing takeaway and delivery via Deliveroo. They have a choice of some fantastic burgers, beef, chicken, veggie or vegan, and multiple dirty fries options, including Cluckin Fries, Garlic Butter Waffle Fries and even, Marmite Butter Fries! All their beef burgers are made from grass-fed, high welfare, rare-breed British cows and are dry aged for a minimum of 28 days to ensure your burger is extra juicy! Add a milkshake and some onion rings and you're good to go. There’s even a £5 lunch deal on right now available Monday to Friday 12-4 including a single patty burger with double american cheese, lettuce, mustard, gherkins, ketchup and some fries on the side!
