Showroom Cinema

This cinema is situated inside an old 1930s car showroom and is one of the largest independent cinemas in Europe. Showroom is also home to Workstation - the creative hub - which holds networking events for digital businesses across Sheffield. They show all the newest films but also stream productions by the National Theatre, RSC and Bolshoi Ballet. They also have a family film club which allows parents to bring their children along to a film and on Saturdays, the film is followed by a free arts and crafts session! In addition, there are Dementia and Autism friendly film screenings, Baby-friendly film screenings and even coffee morning screenings for senior citizens.

Curzon Sheffield

16 George Street, a Grade II listed building which was once owned by the Sheffield Banking Company, is now home to Curzon Cinema. This cinema has 3 screens all with Sony 4K projectors, the largest occupying 62 seats. Why not make a night out of your movie trip and enjoy a meal and drink at the bar or up on the rooftop terrace? All of the screens are equipped with high-technology hearing and audio assistance. There is a Kids Club every Saturday too. Theatre screenings are frequent at Curzon with regular streamings of the Met Opera and the Royal Opera House. Curzon even has a fireplace which they decorate dedicated to newly released films!

Film Unit Cinema

Film Unit Cinema is a student cinema belonging to the University of Sheffield run by the Film Committee. It shows new releases, indie films and old classics all for the student affordable price of £3. Foreign language films are also occasionally shown for fans and once a fortnight, there are Saturday Kids Club screenings showing family favourites both old and new. Student deals on offer include a pizza and a drink for £8.95, large drinks available for the same price as a small, and any meal and a drink for only £7.95 at Bar One.

Odeon Cinema Luxe

Sheffield is one of the limited cities to have an Odeon Luxe cinema so if you live nearby you should definitely head on down and try it out because it truly is incredible. Every screen has specially designed, optimum comfort seats which are reclinable and more spacious than a regular cinema. Oscar’s Bar has a selection of drinks, both alcoholic and soft, and food for you to enjoy during your film. There are 10 screens all with Digital AES sound and 4K projection. The comfiest and best cinema screening experience around.

Light Cinema Sheffield

This cinema shows all the newest box office hits for almost half the price of larger cinema chains. Not only that, the screens have wide, reclining seats with more legroom. Each seat has a little table as well! The screens have funky red neon lighting and bright colourful chair. Like larger cinema chains, Light Cinema Sheffield also offers a membership card called an Infinity Card which allows you to see an unlimited amount of films for £16.95 a month - cheaper than a Limitless or Unlimited Card.
